Heidi Hjorth was born in San Francisco and, with the exception of living in Europe from 2001 until 2004, has been a resident of the San Francisco Bay Area her whole life. She feels fortunate to have enjoyed over 12 years living in San Francisco where she invested in her first real estate renovation project in 1988, inspired by Suzanne Brangham's book, Housewife.
In 1998 she and her husband moved to southern Marin to start a family and enjoy the sense of community, incredible outdoors, fulfillment of school volunteerism, and special environment that Marin has to offer. Although investing since 1988, Heidi received her Real Estate Agent status in 1992 and has been happily involved in helping buyers and sellers close transactions across a multitude of cycles in the marketplace. She has also managed her own investment and renovation projects and experienced first-hand the hard work required for a positive result. This combined expertise can be essential in the careful navigation of home buying or preparing a home for sale and is one that her clients benefit from greatly.
With over 20 years of real estate experience, Heidi Hjorth can offer current advice on the constantly changing environment within the industry, including trends in mortgages, title and tax issues, and construction and remodeling. She has a broad network of industry contacts, including lenders, attorneys, contractors, estate planners, stagers, and financial planners, which are all valuable resources in her business activities. Danish by heritage, Heidi is an avid fan of the outdoors, oceans, wine country, bicycling, walking, animals, and kids, and gives the highest regard to homes filled with family and friends.
